Tamiranashe Nest is a community-driven organisation in Zimbabwe dedicated to supporting vulnerable children, empowering women and girls, equipping youth, and amplifying the voices of vulnerable communities.
Our journey began with a powerful vision: to transform a former beerhall into a place of learning for children who needed access to education. Today, that vision is growing into a larger dream: a Children’s Village of Hope where children can learn, grow, receive protection, develop skills, and build a brighter future.
We believe that every child matters, every woman deserves an opportunity, every young person has potential, and every voice deserves to be heard. We support vulnerable and orphaned children by providing Education, Child protection, Nutrition, Healthcare, Shelter and Psychosocial support.
To further the children’s welfare, we run capacitation programs for their parents, mostly mothers. These include Entrepreneurship training, Income-generating projects, Vocational skills training and Gender-based Violence (GBV) prevention and awareness campaigns.
We are committed to give children and their parents a voice through Storytelling. Podcasts, Community dialogues, Advocacy, Digital media, Awareness campaigns and Documentaries.
We believe that the sustainable economic transformation of vulnerable groups requires Community participation, Partnerships, Faith, Integrity, Accountability and Collaboration.
